Barcelona Airport
Barcelona Airport – El Prat is the international airport of the Spanish city of Barcelona. Located about 12 kilometers southwest of Barcelona’s center, it is – as mentioned above – one of the busiest airports in the world and the second largest in all of Spain, just behind Madrid Bajaras Airport.
The main hubs of Barcelona Airport include the Iberia Regional Vueling and also the low-cost giant fleet of Ryanair in addition to also Air Europa. Providing domestic services to mainly North Africa and Europe with several other international departures heading to Asia, Latin America, North America and Sub-Saharan Africa.
With a total of two different massive terminals where the Terminal 1 is said to be the fifth largest in the world with an area of 548,000 square meters, 258 check-in counters, 60 jetways, 15 baggage carousels and 24,000 parking spaces, it is no wonder why it is so busy. That doesn’t even include what Terminal 2 is made up of!
Whether you are spending time in Barcelona or you are simply passing through and have a layover, you can be sure that your time inside the airport will be filled with plenty of options to shop, dine and stay entertained.
