Passeig de Gracia

Passeig de Gracia is the most expensive avenue in Spain in terms of buying and rents and on of the major avenues in Barcelona. Within its boundaries there are also several of the city’s most celebrated pieces of architecture.

The avenue is about 3 kilometers long and runs from Plaça Catalunya through Eixample in a northwesterly direction to Diagonal Avenue. Making your way down this the tree-lined avenue, you will be able to see many notable buildings and sights including Casa Batllo, Museu del Perfum, Casa Antoni Rocamora, Casa Mila, Teatre Tiboli and Jardins de Salvador Espiru amongst several others. Whether you wander the avenue by foot or by bicycle, there is truly so much to marvel at up close and gain a better feel for this highly regarded and important area of Barcelona.

For those who are not on a tight budget when visiting the city, head here for some of the most high-end shopping experiences you can get in all of Spain. Another option would be to stay at one of the several luxurious hotels on the avenue including Hotel Majestic, Hotel Condes de Barcelona or Hotel Sixty Two.

No matter if you are staying there, shopping or simply exploring the area during your time in Barcelona, it continues to prove as to why so many tourists flock here each and every day.
